 Cluster
Introduction
The
Murray Valley Cluster as its name suggests is located along the
Murray River in Northern Victoria. Yarrawonga Secondary College
is the base school for the Cluster. Some twenty-five kilometres
south of Yarrawonga is Tungamah Primary School. Some forty to
fifty kilometres to the east of Yarrawonga set amongst the
vineyards, mixed farms and the Uncle Toby's factory are the
schools of Wahgunyah Primary, Rutherglen Primary and Rutherglen
High School.
Another
twenty to thirty kilometres further to the east and sitting
beside the Hume Highway are the Primary schools of Springhurst
and Chiltern.
The
Murray Valley Cluster is a Phase two Cluster, which means that
it joined the Innovations and Excellence program in the second
year of its implementation.
The
Innovations and Excellence program is funded by the Victorian
State Government to address the issues facing the Middle Years
of Teaching and Learning.
Our
Cluster is focussed on directly addressing issues such of
student engagement, student learning and achievement. Our
teachers are working together to improve student outcomes
and in the process identify the best ways for teachers to teach.
We
believe in sharing our experiences with our community and indeed
the wider educational community. Our web page is our attempt to
share what we have developed in our ongoing journey into Life
Long Learning. We hope you find something of interest.
